I've been to the hairdressers!

I've had a really exciting day but it was a bit scary at first.

Mom and dad said I needed a hair cut. This was the first time I'd had my hair cut. I like my hair long but it needs brushing every day and sometimes it gets a bit knotted up 'cos it's quite curly, especially if I go out in the rain. I like having my hair brushed but not the knotty bits.

This is what I looked like this morning:

We drove a few minutes up the road to see Julie and she was lovely. She said 'Hello sweetheart, aren't you lovely' (well, I am, aren't I?) then she took me in her arms and cuddled me. We had lots of cuddles and talking. Then I had to say goodbye to mom and dad.

Julie brushed me and bathed me, then she dried me and cut my hair. As I'm only a baby she didn't take a lot off, she cut my hair with some scissors and left me all nice and fluffy and clean. She cut my toe nails too but said there wasn't much to take off. Mom and dad came back a bit later and said I looked lovely. What do you think?

I had to go and show my haircut to my human friends then I went home and was really tired so had a little snoozle in my cubby hole by the computer.

Neil and Tracy came round so I got up to show them my haircut and they said it was nice and they've booked Lottie in to have hers cut next week. I'll have to tell her that there's nothing to be frightened of and she'll like the cuddles and will feel lovely when it's been done.

I hope you like my pictures. Thank you for coming to see me.

I was only trying to help..............

Help with the gardening, that is.

It was sunny and warm today so mom and dad went out into the garden. I thought I'd give them a hand.

I think my contribution was really appreciated, don't you?

Wassup????????? Is this not a good look?

I was threatened with a bath but lucky for me I looked pretty clean after I was brushed:

I went out with my sister Lottie today, and the big dog she lives with Sally (I like Sally, she's always pleased to see me but doesn't jump on me like Lottie does, probably because she knows she's bigger).

Here's Tracy holding me and Lottie - I'm the one with the red lead. Neil is holding Sally. Neil is my humans' son and Tracy their d-i-l. Can you see the wet patch by Tracy's feet - that's my little "I'm so happy to see you" dribble! I only save happy dribbles for the people I love most.

This is Lottie saying "Bye, see you later", I was too busy talking to Sally:

You'll never guess where we went - go on have a try! Nope - told you that you'd not know. We went on the beach! It was the first time I'd been on the beach and I loved it. I wanted to roll in the sand but Tracy said I couldn't. Now that probably would mean I'd have a bath. Never mind, I can do it another day.

Oh, and yesterday we went a long drive to the shops. I lasted 1 hour 15 minutes before I was sick. That's good 'cos we'd almost arrived. My previous record is about 35 minutes. I was only sick on the way there. We only went to three shops and the last one was Pets At Home and I had some doggie chocs and a windey-in long lead so I can go and wander when we walk in the woods. Then we came home. I wasn't sick on the way home, I slept all the way.

Gotta go now, mom has got to make the tea. I get my tea when they have theirs and it's yummy.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my pictures. See you soon.

Helloooooooo.............

Well, would you look at that! It's nearly two weeks since I came to talk to you and I don't know where the time has gone. Lots of things have happened. Do you want to hear about them?

Well, first of all, I can now go out as I've finished my injections. I don't like having my collar and lead put on though, I go and hide but always get found.

Can you see me in this next one? I think I nearly pulled it off!

Once I'm outside I quite like going for a walk. There's lots of things to stop and sniff but I'm not sure I like lots of people and the traffic. Mom says it will be quieter soon when people don't come for their holidays any more. I think I'll like it better when it's quieter. I don't pull on my lead but Mom says I've got to learn to stay on one side and not just wander all over the place. I told her I'm still a baby and have a lot to learn.

She was going to take me to the socialisation and vet friendly class at Mr Vets but when she rung up to book me in there were no other dogs booked in. There wasn't really much point in going if it was only me was there, there would be no socialising with other dogs would there? They said they would ring when someone else books in. I'll like that 'cos I like to see other dogs. Especially Lottie. She's been round to play loads of times. This is Lottie and me playing under the chair:

I don't think we'll be able to fit under there much longer! We're getting big now.

This is Lottie when she was 8 weeks old, lying on her mom's lap (her mom's only titchy!):

And this is me on my mom's lap the other day (five weeks later):

Oh, do you want to know why I was like that on mom's lap? Well, we went out in the car (I was sick again, yuk!) and while dad was in the shop mom walked me round the car park. When I got home I was chewing my foot and mom had a look and I'd trodden in some chewing gum and it was all stuck between my toes! How yukky is that - it's worse than being sick. It took mom an hour to try and get the chewing gum out. She had to pull out as much as she could and then she had to cut all the fur right down on my feet and between my toes. She was ever so gentle and careful, and I ended up going to sleep while she was doing it.

I've got a new garden now too. The men came and took the old walls and slabs away and put down this nice new one. Here's me checking out that they'd done it properly:

This is how big it is, there's lots of room for me to wander round but I'm not allowed to go out there on my own, someone has to be with me so I don't eat anything I shouldn't:

I went in the car again today, only a short ride (to try and get me used to the car and not be sick). We went just 5 minutes up the road to where there's a picnic area and then some woods. It was too muddy in the woods so I just played in the picnic field but the grass was all wet and I got a bit mucky, especially my tummy as my legs are only little. I've been brushed now so I'm all clean and tidy again but I'm pooped! I feel a big snoozle coming on so I'm going now. Thank you for coming, see you soon.
